Think this is my 4th Esee with black and orange handles from TKC. It's a great sheath. Positive lockup but comes free very smoothly.

I've had quite a few with those scales as well including the 6 I have. Something about those colors with a silver spine . I strip and polish the majority of mine. I've had their sheaths for the 6 and 3 and yeah they're really good, and a good price.

A buddy hooked me up with a PR4 yesterday. I'm really looking forward to playing with this thing! No pics because it's just a standard PR4 for the time being.

Just ordered the JG5 hardware to do liners on my PR4. Gotta pick my liner material now.

Got my liner material today and spent some time this evening getting them in. I used @shaneadams90 video on YouTube as a guide for the install. They turned out really good! I like the white against the brown and black. I was afraid it would be too plain but it works out nicely.

Thanks! I'm really happy with it. Glad I went with a subdued color for a knife this classic and iconic.

Did you end up getting the pr4? How'd you like it if so. I've got a week or so before I can order mine yet.

I did yeah. The stock scales were too thin for me so I ended up getting the TKC scales and they were too thick. I sold it after that. I could've done the liners like Shane Adams' video shows but I already had too much into it to end up getting another sheath made. I did a comparison between that and my esee 3 and my esee 3 did better, for me anyway.

    Thanks for the reply.
If you were to compare the thicknesses to anything else would there be a similar comparison to make? Like esee 5 thick?

The pr4 is 1/8" thick, so the same as the esee 3, jg3 and rb3. So the pr4 would have the longest blade in that thickness.

No I mean the thickness of those tkc scales. How thick in comparison to something else did the scales make it overall? I've never had or seen tkc in person lol

Ooh, sorry, I misunderstood. They are quite a bit thicker than stock, I couldn't give exact measurements though, sorry. I have xl hands and like I said, they were too big for me. If you get them, you'll have to get a kydex sheath made or get one from TKC.

I guess we will see how it works out, I'm pretty set on getting one. I dont mind thin though so it may be good stock or with liners at most also. I wish I had a local shop where I could see and handle things like this lol. Thanks again

If the Post Office doesn't mess up. (50% chance)
I should have an as new tricked out PR4 in my mail box tomorrow afternoon.

The knife is already through Detroit, and headed north into the mitten.

Green TKC slabs with orange liners, original sheath and slabs,
TKC kydex rig with additional front mounted pouch.

    Color me excited!
