Thanks man! Much appreciated! I have a sheet of some micarta so gonna add my own liners to the scales at some point. I love how easily esee knives can be made custom. Tons of fun and learning along the way.
first post, thought i would show my Zombie 6 with the new kydex sheath i made for it. love the knife. have a 3, 4 and a 5 as well, plus a Rat 1 and an Avispa. the folders all have the Snaggletooth wave attachment on them, love it. enjoy!
Well the esee 6-hd is no more. I took it apart and made the blade to stock. It'll either go in the BOB or I may sell it cheap. Was hoping it would sell but the etch f'd that all up. Ah well. But working on my personal 6. I kinda like the two tone look so not sure I'll strip it the rest of the way, but did the texture on it (love the way it looks!) and used stainless screws, to break up the too much black on it. Bought some craft paint and stencils so I may paint something on the sheath as well. When I get the money, I'll be looking into doing hollow pins in the scales.
Changed out the snaps on the sagewood gear dangler, added a 90° spine and it pulled kitchen duties today making home made chili.
I honestly didn't think I would like the 6. .. and why I've waited so long to grab one... I thought it would be too much blade. Man was I F'n wrong. The 6 feels so balanced in the hand.... And the little chopping, carving, and splitting that I've done with it, seems effortless compared to my 4's. This is a Tool... and a Damn Good one. I went ahead and filed the Spine and it throws sparks perfect now.
