Just got the Expat Cleaver. Now, I just need a side of beef to use it on...(eh, wouldn’t fit in the condo with all the other junk).

    This thing is a beast.

    Very nicely done.

Today I picked up a 1951 Singer 15-91, with its original table and knee control. It's gonna be my powerhouse sewing machine until I can afford an industrial machine. It's gonna look so nice with it's little brother that I picked up two days ago. I'll post pics shortly.

After using this system for a week I recommend it over the Sharpmaker. It's more versatile and a better value given the included diamond plates.

My most recent purchases weren’t for me, but for my brother-in-law.

Our last phone call, he started quizzing me about what I did for exercise in my condo, and said his doctor told him to start working out (he’s much thinner than me, so it’s not for losing weight).

I told him about resistance bands being great, that I had started using them for 40 years ago (yeah, LifeLine started marketing them way back) when I was seriously competing, my routine, how lifting is even more important as we get older, etc. After that, he asked me for some links so I said “sure.”

When I started collecting all the info, I realized his sister (my late wife) would have wanted me to just buy the stuff for his birthday.

So, I sent him a surprise early present of a full set of cables, handles, anchor..., along with a couple of Kindle books to guide him along. He just texted me that his first workout went “great.”

One more convert to the “Old Folks Lift” movement.

Was surprised to see the local Academy (sporting goods store) had a serious amount of ammo in stock. Managed a box of .45 and 9mm “hung” bulk packs.

Good sign for the ammo situation IMO :)

It all started with a $160 Singer from Walmart...then a couple vintage Singers for $50 and $75. Then this happened today... But hey, I saved $100!?!?!

Indeed. It's turned into a nice little business venture. I truly don't have the space, but I'll make it work. It's replacing two other machines. I'll leave one set up for zippers, and this guy can do the rest.

Just got a new Esee 4 w/ 3D Micarta.. I’ve had a stainless for a while... But I really wanted the 1095. It will accompany my PR4 as a camp/hike do it all knife. It fits perfect in the PR4 leather sheath so I’m going to order another one. The leather works great for slipping it into the HPG packs I’m setting up... This ESEE 4 w/ 3D Micarta is the Perfect knife in my opinion.
