What fish is this?

    Caught this on my fly rod today in the Gulf. (Pensacola area)

    When I first got it I assumed it was a mullet but it looks a bit different from others I’m familiar with. Thus my post here.

    mullets are extremely common here.

    Mullet is also the plural of mullet I believe, in the same manner as "sheep".....what kind of cretins do we have fishing here...... ;) :D

    It looks like it has large translucent teeth but i guess that is not the case.

    Could be a sardine. A little more belly and smaller eyes than an anchovy.
