Those are mainly used by Knife Executives and Sticker magnates. Most common folk have no use for such a contraption.

Too fancy smancy for a poor struggling Gigolo like me. Hell last weekend I was busy servicing my made around 1984 Abu 6500c baitcaster. No one can say I don't get my $ worth out of stuff !

Baitcaster? Good night. What kind of cretins have we allowed in here!?

let me guess—you use one fork for your entire dinner???

Had to look that one up. Whoa!

I’m more of a Penn spinner and conventional reel kinda guy. Those are above my pay grade!!!

If you can’t place a lure in a ball cap at thirty paces with an Ambassador 5000, your probably wearing skinny jeans with embroidery on the pockets with “dress” flip flops.

I remember that fateful moment when I took my first cast with a (friend's) baitcaster and discovered what "backlash" was....that WAS Christmas day 1984 and that was his Christmas gift.....his brother spent the next hour or more resolving the issues.... :D My next cast was with my OWN baitcaster.....;)

As a kid, we always had 7-8 baitcasters, mostly Ambassadors in the boat. 3 were mine to use. After I backlashed the third one, or birds nested it, I had toothpicks by my seat to straighten them out with. Typically using a light jig with 17lb test, I spent many hours picking thru line. It was a good way to become proficient! Those were good days!

I remember sitting on the side of the Daly River in the NT with a mini-maglite held in my teeth trying to un-stuff a wonderful backlash.....the light attracted a swarm of mosquitos (it's in the tropics) and in the edge of the light I made out a 5 foot or so croc go past in the water......I decided at that point that 1) backlash was a bastard 2) I really hate mosquitos 3) I needed more casting practice in the dark and 4) the side of a river in the tropics was not the spot to fix this at nigh.... always amazes me that I made it past 20 years old..... ;)
