Got this off etsy, never heard of the maker but took a chance. Got it in today for my 3 and not only is the fit and finish great, the note and stickers were a nice touch. That is how you do business! IMG_20210308_233831649.jpg IMG_20210308_233739895.jpg

Compliments from a good friend. The unlabeled red stuff is cherries Moonshine. She split a big one with me and put it in two smaller jars. IMG_20210311_195912203.jpg

Was off today and out running some errands, one of which was to check out the new, Outdoor Research outlet store, that a buddy from work told me about this week. If you're near I-5 and hwy 516 south of Seattle, it's worth a stop. In addition to out of season stuff, overstocks and general sale stuff, they also have one-offs, product samples and overruns. They were selling their factory seconds, GTX gaiters for $5, military contract test gloves for $20 and these green beanies for $8. I just bought the beanie.
When I got home, the Arc Atom AR was waiting for me. Been wanting this step up in warmth for a couple years, but didn't want to pay the $300 retail. Arc has a used gear site and when this popped up last week for $160, I jumped on it. It had been advertised as "faint stains on the front and back," but since I was mainly going to use it at work, I didn't care. Not only are there no stains, there are no marks at all. Went to an estate sale with a friend who needed help loading furniture. Made a very low offer on a box of random "hunting stuff" that included the latest tech in binoculars circa 1985 and some other stuff.
No one else made an offer.

Other stuff ended up being some African trinkets, ivory, cool vest, etc and.... 1000 rounds of .375 H&H magnum.

I don't have a rifle chambered in .375 H&H magnum. Yet. Sorting through the options now.

Good score. Even cheap 375 h&h is well over $2 a round.

..... yes a similar thing happend to a mate of mine 20yrs ago (thankfully he was also an amature gunsmith). He was gifted 1K of .375H&H, 1K .458Win and 800rds of 9.3x62 from an estate. I am still using some of the .375H&H (he gave me around 200), he sold the 9.3x62 and with the proceeds of that built up a .375H&H and a .458 as toys !

800 rounds of 10mm fmj and 150 rounds of 10mm jhp. Buddy sold it to me for $20 per box of 50. $380 total for 950 rounds. I'll take that any day.

Yes that is extortion !!!!!!! It's not as bad here but it gets painful when the value is over $1000Aus, I do all my own clearance administration but the Federal Govt happily charges me $95 to process the paperwork and then send me a bill for what I owe (import duty and GST). Thankfully most things I import are under the $1K mark, but I go through this at least a couple of times a year when scratching the Busse itch !
