made a pocket slip/edge cover for a kephart I'm testing and carved a deep bowl spoon out of black locust.
Just finished making this sheath for my new blade . Now I just need to figure out how I want it to hang. I'm leaning towards a dangler.
Been working on some new artwork for the house. Unfortunately to blend the streaks to look like feathers takes a lot of paint... So i have to wait at-least a full day to blend in the next color.. Currently working on a Wood Duck And yes the eye looks even creepier in person...
Been very hot here lately. High heat and smoke from nearby wildfires make a cool damp neckerchief a welcome hiking companion. I found a pruned piece of Oak branch alongside the trail and made a slide [Woggle] for my neckerchief. Neckerchief Woggle by WOODSDEVIL posted Oct 3, 2020 at 11:06 AM
Managed to make the piece of trim to remake an old window sill this weekend. Got it all stained and ready to put back in today I hope. If I had a router table I could make the proper finished edge but I haven't found one of those yet...
Remodeled the bathroom. Forgot to take some before pictures but suffice it to say it's much nicer now.
Made an impact weapon from a discarded spike I found alongside the RR tracks. Wrapped it with paracord. About a pound, choice of point or blunt hammer head. Railroad Spike impact weapon by WOODSDEVIL posted Oct 15, 2020 at 8:31 PM Closeup of the spike by WOODSDEVIL posted Oct 15, 2020 at 8:31 PM
Finished up the chicken coop today that my daughter wanted. It’s pretty much to county structural code including hurricane ties tying the base to the roof. Should survive at least a cat1 lol.
made a large pile of brush today - had an elm growing into the back fence and over the past couple of years it had started to lean in as well.
Welded up a small trailer for some friends' farm. It's a light duty single axle that someone added a second axle and some braces to at some point and then put too much weight on. I wouldn't use it because I've seen me weld but they seemed to be happy with it... Pics when phone feels like it (fun of a 7yr old smart phone that gets banged around more than *insert fun phrase here*).
Made a stand for my plate carrier. Used an old cutting board I made for the base. All the pipe is going to get a coat of paint and the cutting board is going to get stained dark.
