Does $11k worth of concrete count.....new driveways (plus house drainage underneath) and pads for a car ports...... not the most enjoyment i could have derived from that $ but it looks good so far.
Went and picked up my parts from the dealership for the Vmax yesterday, picked up a few other things I needed while I was in the big town. New spark plugs for the Vmax and tire plugs for the 4wheeler since it picked up a screw. Also some big orange butt plugs and resupply of Jack n'coke, who's up for some fun
An early 12 gauge 870 wingmaster, pretty beat up externally, but has that awesome tight but super slick wingmaster action and old-school chrome bolt, Ill buy these guns for 200 bucks all day long over a brand new 280 dollar 870 express. Pics to follow when I get her cleaned up!
Here she is, its not as old as I initially thought I think its a 1981 but just alittle brushing of 40 or so years of old dried up oil out and the action is slick! Someone over sanded the stock at some point but given this gun is gonna get some abuse I'm not too worried about it. The 30 inch full choke barrel isn't the most versatile but fingers crossed with in a year or too Ill be living in awesome grouse hunting territory and this will get chopped to a 24 inch cylinder bore. Given its appearance I won't think for a second about taking it out in the wet rainy grouse woods.
Preordered 2 of the new Xbox Series X consoles when they came online the other day. Supply and demand is an ugly SOB and they sold out quick!
Reebok Core Board. Used this with Lifeline squat setup and totally destroyed my legs - in a good way. Trying to both lose weight, and work out (MIT/DAPER is closed for the duration).
My RaspberryPi, case and preloaded software should be here today. I'm going to use it as a terminal for an APRS I-Gate here locally. The club's digipeater doesn't cover the city very well so I'm hoping this will be a good fill in. I already had the FT-1900R and Signalink USB as well as 20' of mast, a 5/8W Comet base antenna and a section of LMR400 to feed it with. I think this is going to be a fun setup!
Ham radio stuff. Automatic Packet Reporting System (APRS) reports you location to other users and can pass messages as well as receive weather information from static stations or even from the internet with an I-Gate close by. Its a neat system I use when I'm off-road. You can monitor group size with one rig in front and one in the rear as well as mark camp sites and other way points via beaconing. My trip taking the kids to school this morning.
Just picked this bad boy up from the post office. Wanted a replacement for the 6 I sold to a family member a few years ago. I'm a sucker for drop points.
