Post up those rides or project if you got them....

I recently went from this beast of a ride

    to this

while the truck is actually a much nicer vehicle I felt like I needed something to work on and picked up a Chevy OBS roller and got to work.

The ride height is way to high and the wheels and paint are horrible but the body is perfect, no bumps, no bruises and no rust to speak of.

Since you can’t just drop any ol motor in a project truck I opted for a Mark IV 454. It had seen better days but those original old school M/T valve covers made it worth it.

    As I said, better days

After the machine shop and a complete rebuild it was much better though and we just bolted up the brand new 700r4 and JBA ceramic headers this past weekend.

And made her happy in her new home

It did get a new set of wheels already also.

Yes, the rear end was narrowed 1.5” on each side to make room for those 5” backspace wheels and 11” tires.

The new alternator, water pump, fuel pump, radiator, distributor, plugs, wires and a slew of bolts will all be here tomorrow.

The 4/6 Western Chassis Drop has been ordered but I may not see it for a month.

There is still a long way to go and a lot of money left to spend but it's getting there.

Nice Camaro in the OP. I very much enjoy cars, but I'm not obsessed with working on them (anymore). That said, my wife still tells me I have a bit of an issue. I currently have a BMW 328i, a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, and a Chevy Colorado pickup. And she has her Toyota 4Runner. And a I have a motorcycle and an ATV....

Thanks man, it was a fun ride for awhile but not practical for me. That picture is of it on the dyno being tuned at LSXperts after the cold air, headers, catless connection pipes, exhaust and E85 kit were installed.

Of all the things I did to that car I enjoyed the SJM line Lock the most. It was a cloud maker!

Im over working on them myself, it is a lot of time and money, neither of which I have a lot of.

Very nice Camaro and truck! My wife and I have plans to build a nice street truck eventually. I used to own a 1992 Mustang Lx with some head work, cam, equal length headers, cold air intake, 3.73 gears with a 5 speed and some rear suspension work. My buddies and I used to roll around and get into all kinds of trouble lol. We had a pretty solid crew of cars for young punks from a nitrous Vette, nitrous 4th gen Camaro SS, a procharged 4th gen Z-28 and a procharged C5 Z06. We had a 03 Cobra in the crew with a bunch of bolt ons that made some nice power. We even had a 400hp Dodge neon SRT4 that used to make a decent amount of money for us (at the race track of course) :D. But then children came along and I sold the foxbody.

I don't have any fun cars anymore for now, but my best friend bought a 2017 C7 Z06 with a full carbon package and a 7 speed manual. Fastest and scariest car I've ever had the pleasure to drive.

It has a suede interior with carbon fiber everywhere.

We even put Carbon Fiber Z06 badges on it.

It has some bolt ons, a tune and makes some very impressive power to the wheels.

The car just got some Drag Radials which it desperately needed.

Hopefully one day I can own a machine as nice as this but for now I get to live vicariously though my best friend. Fun times .
