I don't want to mess with the Fonz. He's too cool to mess with. Although I really do appreciate his reverse mortgage work as well.
I don't know why I'm finally just getting around to reading this, but there was half a cup of coffee on my shirt by the time I got through Randall Knives. And I defy anyone to come up with a more accurate description of Case collectors. This really needs to be updated with Winkler, Bark River, Hinderer... And don't even get me started on the $200 tactical folding mini-cleaver trend...
Too darn funny! I'd love to see something on Bark River, and Opinel. They're a French company, so that opens up a lot of possibilities I'm sure.
I posted much of this on Facebook since it's that time of the year when Atlanta traffic gets even worse, when a bunch of dudes are free to cut loose and wear knives they haven't worn all year. Feel free to share it and offend everyone. I added Expat Knives too. Man, that company is a joke!
I had to look some of these brands up. Very funny. Dark Opps, Holy Geometry. Are they made on planet Klingon? Tops have some sci-fi influences too.
Just found this forum and joined, then stumbled into this thread. Timelessly awesome, three years and counting!
Expat should write a book he is so humorous. Seriously. Maybe a kids book too so I can understand and read it.
A expat kids book is like major payne telling the story of the little engine that could. Or it will be a plagiarized version of At Night She Cries, While He Rides His Steed.
I realized I'm VERY late to the party................like the booze is gone, everyone left, and the property has been rezoned and sold twice! This hasn't stopped me from thoroughly enjoying this thread. The descriptions of the knife cultures are amazingly accurate, with the perfect level of snarky sarcasm. This is the most enjoyable reading I've had in the last month. Thank you for taking the considerable time to clearly express your obvious insights into the various brands and their fanboys. This is pure gold.
