My minivan finally bit the dust after 210,000 miles, so I traded it in on this low mileage Explorer XLT. Drives like a dream.
No one in this world needs a minivan I really wish they were never invented. There is always a cooler option
I'd own an old school Astro or Safari. They're basically an S10 underneath (little wider IIRC) and you can swap a 4x4 t-case for the AWD case. My complaint with minivans is that with all three rows in use, you have 0 cargo area. That's why we opted for a Suburban when we needed a bigger family vehicle. But now I think we're looking at a Traverse as a mid point. 3 rows, plenty of cargo area, better than 15mpg...
I'm getting roughly 19.5mpg going to/from work, and 2.5 miles of it is climbing a mountain. Overall I'm happy with it.
For sure. I had to get 64 crape myrtles in mine the other day. I couldn’t get them all in my 5.5’ bed and still close the tonneau cover, so I jammed like 18 of them in the back floor. It was pouring rain so there was mud everywhere, and of course water drained out of them for an hour while I was driving. I let the mud dry into the floor mat and power washed it in the driveway a couple days later. Carpet didn’t get wet at all.
It's a tree, I had to look it up. I was half expecting it to be a fish that looked like an alien life form. You know, the one from the bottom the ocean, with the dingle berry hanging in it's face. I was pleasantly surprised.
My new 6 and Izula arrived! Already used the 6 to hack some sprouts off a maple tree in the yard and whittle a good tent stake from one with them. I really think I'm going to like this pair!
