@Justafigment this is a normal ESEE forum response to an immediately closed thread. I dont know why. It just is.

That’s ok, I had a want to buy ad up for an Esee 6hm group buy knife, but the more I read down through here there are people in other ads looking for them too that have been here longer than I have.So I am closing my thread.

It doesn't come down to longer, It comes down to timing and vigilance. Check the forum every morning and every night.

Yes I would recommend checking the for sale thread to see if some lists one on a regular basis. Can't say how many times I have see someone post a knife they are selling and then 8 posts below there is a want to buy looking for that exact knife... People don't always check want to buy posts and often times just list something for sale.

if you want it as a user, save some funds and a lot of time -- buy a "regular" 6HM, strip it, square the spine, and give it a strong patina yourself.

Yep. The GB 6HM is very nice but dollar for dollar, I like the standard 6HM better.

I might just do that , I really wish you could buy the Esees with a 90 spine, I am more worried about screwing that up or getting a good sharp spine than anything. Thanks!

You probably don't need more than a files width of 90 on the spine. Then you can strike a ferro rod or scrape sticks and leave the rest of the spine rounded so it won't chew up batons or your fingers.

Or use a saw blade, pocket knife, striker, anything else.

.....this, a small piece of hacksaw is what I carry with my rod. A little longer than normally supplied with some of them so I can used it to cut with in a pinch as well (multipurpose and all that).
