    You can cut off little pieces and fluff it up like a cotton ball to catch sparks.

    These look useful for fire starting. :cool:
    I imagine just fine as long as you can dependably get a hot enough spark from it.
    Also, I'm betting that you could use any lantern wick that is soaked in paraffin. ;)
