After Strig gives away the ESEE-4 then this will be the next one on the list. An Izula-II that someone chipped out the front of the blade then attempted to grind the blade away trying to fix it. I did a little work on it and it's in good shape now even though it lost a bit of length. The convex edge has been started on the blade. It's sharp right now but could use some more polishing and stropping. Nice little knife. Comes with OD sheath only. I ground through the serial number on this one just so we can spot it if it tries to get warrantied again. So, once Strig starts the giveaway on this one, please know this is not to be sent in for warranty. We've got a bunch more we will get fixed up and give away on this forum - one being an awesome Junglas blade that has been stripped and convexed (not sure why someone sent this one in after all the work they put into it). The first one we see come back to us for warranty will stop this whole process and we will just scrap these knives or put them in the classroom for students to use. THIS IS NOT THE GIVEAWAY THREAD. So any dumbass who posts on this thread saying they're in on the giveaway will be banned from the actual giveaway when Strig gets it started.
Pretty sure Andy and i will at some point post an "im in" on this thread. The temptation is just too great boss.
I think this is an awesome use for these returned knives. I just didn't want to comment and muck up the give away thread on the first one.
It is awesome that ESEE will warranty such minor faults, and what I’m sure a lot of times amount to self inflicted faults from abuse. These tools do still have a lot of life left in them for someone willing to just reshape it and move forward.
Sure is attrackting a lot of new members... loads of postcount on or anround 1 can be found in the GAW thread and even this thread
This is a very awesome thing that you guys are doing, and giving back to the forum. Thank for your generosity & hard work ! & Thank you for putting out such awesome products !
Thanks for some insight. I'm probably one of the last few facebookless and Instagramless people on the planet
