I've been thinking about adding a compact weapon light to my ccw pistol. Currently bouncing back and forth between the Inforce APLC and the newer Streamlight TLR 7. Anyone have recommendations one way or the other?

Sorry I don't have any pics.

I've long been a fan of the Streamlight Microstream for EDC. I just ordered a Protac model to try out. Its the one that takes either a single cr123 or AA battery (1L - 1AA I think). It should be here tomorrow.

I also just received the full size Stream light Sidewinder. I haven't had a chance to use it in the field yet, just messing with it around the house. It's not going to win any beauty contests, but should work great for my dim light needs. Not sure it's up everyone's alley, but it's well worth the used eBay prices.

Kind of a weird request, but I'm looking for a decent kydex flashlight holster. Anybody have recommendations?

I have a custom made one for the MX1 Striker, haven't seen anything factory made, at least here.

I'm surprised there isn't more 1" light holsters floating around.

I'd also look at Blue Force Gear pouches. I've found that they are really good for holding all sorts of things from Leatherman tools to flashlights, med gear, etc. Many of their pouches can be worn vertically or horizontal and they collapse pretty flat when empty.

They are the first place I look when I need to belt carry anything and I rarely have to look further.

Perhaps it is like that because most of the flashlights have some sort of a side button and if the kydex is not a custom fit, it would most probably press that button. The M1X also has a side button and the sheath has only one safe way to hold it.

It is very secure but I do not like how it stays on the belt. It is a test model and has more material left on the attachment points for a purpose - now I know how I want it and it will have different attachment method soon. It will use those attachment things that are used on most IWB gun holsters, like little belt loops - one on each end.

@Bozho I like it! What I'm hoping to find is something assembled pancake style, with some adjustment options on it. Bezel up orientation would be preferable to avoid needing different holsters for each model, and 2 belt attachment points to avoid it flopping around.

    Edit:
    Something like this: https://www.bravoconcealment.com/collections/magazine-pouches/products/3-0-magazine-pouch

But a 1.2 inch circle with the option to tighen it down to maybe 0.8 inch to accommodate slightly smaller tubes. I'd even take one in a single size as long as it fits my 6P or other 1 inch tube lights.

I love Fenix Lights. I have all kinds of lights. Surefire, streamlight, pelican, maglite, Energizer, and many other brands.

Fenix is the only brand that has never failed me. I remember buying a Surefire light because it was supposed to be the best of the best. Or so I was told. I had nothing but issues with it. Sent it for warranty twice and came back with the same issue every time.
I only buy Fenix lights now. They are just amazing lights. This is my collection so far.

Edit: not sure why the photo uploads blurry but the models of the lights left to right are are PD30, E21, TA20, E21, E25UE

I like it a lot! It is very lightweight, but strong and the low light mode is awesome for situations where you don't want to be blinded by a more powerful light. I use it around the house and as a 2nd light along with a larger one. The high mode is also good and surprisingly bright. Runtime with white Eneloops is good and with black ones it would be even better. I like this light a lot more that the S1R with its rechargeable CR123. They have a new model - I5T - with AA and I am waiting to get my hands on it, as I have a few spare black Eneloops.
