So, pretty sure I saw a funnel cloud the other night.
I was watching in between lightning flashes and keeping up with the local meteorologist on my phone.

They have been surveying damage areas and determined that an EF-0 passed about a mile south of me.
    That is 65-85 mph winds.

Most places will survive this. Mainly broken tree limbs, missing shingles, and mangled trampolines.

A month ago I almost bought a home weather station that included an anemometer, wish I had done it now.

They rated the El Reno tornado in OKC Metro area as an EF-3, which is 135-165 mph winds.
Two people died there, and even more injured.
Naturally it wiped out a trailer park.

    Only to keep myself safe!

I've always been somewhat interested in it. And living where we do its something to be mindful of anyway, especially in the spring time.

I did take a meteorology class in college just for fun.
Had some credit hours I needed that didn't have to be anything specific.

It's been nothing like it has been in Oklahoma, but this is like round 5 here in the last week. Nothing major I don't think either but you never know. Hope you're still safe @OKcherokee Screenshot_20190529-131817_Chrome.jpg

    Water is starting to subside.

They are slowly closing the gates on the dam upstream. Said if they shut it off too quickly it could cause damage to the levees.

We set a record this year as of October 20th.

There was a tornado touchdown that brought our annual total this year to 146, surpassing the previous record from 1999.

The wind is sweeping down the plains tonight.

Sustained at 20, gusts at 45 right now. And all kinds of stuff in the air, really hazy.

I talk to him once in a while. He is doing good, still doing his videography and lecture work.

So we had a confirmed tornado a couple days ago.

It was number 147 in the state this year, which broke a record set in 1999.

So, Friday is 80% chance of severe thunderstorms, and Saturday is 60% chance of wintry mix.

    Go home weather, you’re drunk.

First tornado of the year is in the books.

Was 61 degrees when I got home a bit ago.

about 10 miles from here it’s like 40 degrees.

    Snow tonight and tomorrow.
