Last night was "Danger Close". A dramatisation of the events surrounding The Battle of Long Tan in Vietnam. It was not bad in the great scheme of things. They collapsed lots of elements of the story into scene of the the movie as they occurred spread across the battle and among the APC Troop advancing out to re-enforce D Coy. I have read many versions of the battle. The movie is more about the people and their interactions particularly that of Maj. Harry Smith (D Coy Company Commander), his own book about his efforts over the following 45yrs to have his men properly recognised is a great but frustrating read.

Anyone here seen The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty?

I thought the trailer for it looked stupid but I watched it and loved it. Great soundtrack too!

Watched Godzilla King of the Monster's last night. Kinda disappointing. The Godzilla reboot from a few years back was fantastic, and Kong Skull Island was great as well. I think people just took the success for granted and cut corners on storyline and acting. The special effects were cool and the monsters were very well done, but you can just tell that's where the money was spent. It was almost distracting. Hopefully the upcoming Kong vs Godzilla will live up to the first two movies.

Just watched The Irishman as well. Great acting, but a whole lot of nothing as far as a payoff at the end. If you lived through the early 70's and have an interest in Jimmy Hoffa, then grab a scotch and enjoy.

It was good. Bale did a great job. The only downside is that my wife kind of hates Ford after watching the movie.

Bale did an excellent job indeed. You know an actors good when you see the character and not the actor in the film.
