After owning dozens of both, the Izula II just fits my hand better. I love both and the Izula is slightly easier to carry, but the extra real estate is worth it me. I wear XXL gloves.

We have been hearing this more and more and are working to address it in the future..The secondary market supports our blades very well but it would still be nice to get this right from the factory...just know we are working on a solution.

izzy2 fits my hand better, original izzy drops in a front pocket more comfortably.

That’s great to know. The standard clip is great for straping to a pack. It’s strong and light weight. Vertical belt knife carry is just so old school. Fine for the woods and hunting. Not so much for EDC. Thanks for the response!

So the Izula is in the lead now. It's a close race. Both great knives.

I like the handle more on the 2, but if I find myself wanting the comfort of the 2 over the original, I usually just want to use a bigger knife. My vote goes for the Izula.

I love my Izzy 2 but not as much as the misses does, especially since she took it from me.

As much as I love the 2, I have to go with the Izula for the fact that it’s a bit more compact. Scale choices are better too. The original scales, even though they’re small, work amazingly well and leave the hole exposed which is a plus. The newer full scales make it feel more like the 2 with the exception that they are thinner than factory Izula 2 scales. I theorize that the thickness of the 2’s scales make it feel like a bigger knife than it is. I have come to this conclusion because I had cut down a pair to fit my standard Izula and the result was it feeling like the 2 even though it was missing the extra 1/2 inch. So there’s my .2 cents

Another reason I prefer the Izula shorter handle is it's easier to hide under my top when I'm camping here in the UK,plus less to dig in my side . 20180225_123057.jpg 20180225_123105.jpg
