I always thought it would be a good idea to make a big binder that had different sections on how to do things the old ways.
I like having a copy of all of the local ham radio repeaters, which I try to print a new copy once or twice a year. Likewise, scanner frequencies for my county (and any county where family is, and all counties in between). Police, Fire, EMS, the whole enchilada. RadioReference has a great database for this. I print all of this, then insert it into clear sleeves and into a binder. I throw it in one of the rolling totes I keep some of my ham radio stuff in (dipole antennas, spare coax, spare tools, ropes for guying a mast, etc.) While having a portable copy of dozens of books on a tablet sounds awesome, it ain't worth a hoot if the batteries are dead.
I hate to support anything of Dave Canterburys but sometimes I have to just grit my teeth and bear it...I bought his 64oz Bushpot and love it... I couldnt find anything else that had what I wanted. I feel likewise about his waterproof folding reference pamphlets https://www.selfrelianceoutfitters.com/collections/survival-pocket-guides
