So we all know that since the J2 has come out, everyone has wanted to know how the J2 chopped compared to the og junglas.

A common answer was "almost as well" which for a lot of small stuff, is true! But i knew when it REALLY comes down to it, having dropped trees with both knives, their performance for heavy chopping was not similar... not at all.

So what does that leave me to do!? Take it to the TABLE OF DESTRUCTION of course!!!

At the table of destruction, the Junglas performed over 50% better at chopping through 2x4's, and trust me, even in this short test, you can REALLY feel the difference!

At the end of the day, the difference between the two Junglas' to me was clear as day- the Junglas 2 is an AWESOME large knife, whereas the Junglas is an AWESOME short, heavy machete. Those two inches entirely changed the category of the J2, and put its performance in an entirely different category as well.

Thank you, you've pretty much answered my questions.

Money now being diverted to another Esee knife.

Yep. I started to convince myself I just had to have a J2.

But if I want a smaller machete, I have the lib.

I shall continue to beat the snot out of this antique junglas I acquired until such time as it needs to be replaced.
