I have a few and was going to get some more but every time I go to the website, every single one is sold out. It says he drops new ones every week. But they always say sold out. Do they just sell out the second the second they are released? If they're that hot, you need to hire some seamstresses, Godspeed! www.godspeedtactical.com
Maybe he's having computer issues again (insert eye rolling thingy here). That was one of the excuses others gave when he wasn't delivering sheaths on time, wouldn't log in here to defend himself and wouldn't respond to his customers all the while he was able to post on Instagram every day. Post your question up on Instagram. That's what at least a couple of people had to do to get their knives back from him. Including a former ESEE forums mod that had actually spent "dirt time" with him.
I had one transaction with him, and it went smoothly. That being said, it seems like his business model went south. Shame. @Expat if you're looking for a decent snot rag, I recommend Recycled Firefighter or Wazoo Survival. Granted, I wouldn't base my ability to survive off something printed on a big ol' chunk of cotton, but it serves it purposes and makes an interesting conversation piece.
I second hanks from @Slade . His work is excellent. His hanks are the only ones I own... (sadly I lost a few so im down to one lol)
I have some from Slade. And Hanks by Hank. And Filson. And Brooks Brothers. But I was using one the other day from godspeed and went on line to check them out and found out that they are always sold out. I like his designs and the little grommet can sport a lanyard. I didn't know anything about his business or any complaints. I'm not on Instagram. I have people for that.
Is this the same one that used to make the awesome knife sheaths and used to have an account here (well, the older version of here)?
There was a fairly long thread about his crappy business practice on the old forum. He jerked me around for 6 months on a sheath. I dont care how talented he is, I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.
I always thought the grommet seemed like something that would be in my way or just odd to have something metal in a handkerchief. It would be an easy thing to add, but I have taken to sewing a button hole in the fabric instead. It won't handle a string with 30 lbs pulling on it, but then again, neither will the fabric and a grommet. I've made and sold many thousands handkerchiefs now. The ones you got from me @Expat were some of the first few I ever made (like literally number 8, 9, and 10 or something). I have figured a lot out since then. If you think a button hole will work for you, you can hit up my Etsy store. If you think a grommet still is what's called for, let me know. That means I'm missing out on a market I didn't realize as out there and I will add them. https://www.etsy.com/shop/ArrowHandkerchiefs When I make them ahead of time, I can't keep them in stock, but there's a make your own listing on there where you can pick any two fabrics and thread color. Usually have them to the buyer within a week.
Apparently I failed to click "stay logged in" on my new computer. Besides this forum has cost me way too much money over the years.
For anyone that needs the grommet, I have ordered the tools and grommets for 100 hanks. They’re #O aka 1/4” ID. That seems like the right size to me. I’ve ordered gunmetal finish to start. Who knows maybe I’ll end up liking them too. You can use code “SHEEPLE” to save a lucky 13% off orders on ETSY. But the grommets won’t be available until later this week I would think.
