Rabies is horrifying. If you touch a bat, or a bat touches you (especially if it's during the day), go get post exposure shots. By the time you're symptomatic, you're already beyond saving. It has a 100% kill rate. Post exposure treatment has near 100% success rate. Don't take chances. It wouldn't be a terrible idea to ask for post exposure shots, the virus can incubate for up to 8 years in some cases. One in every 17 bats carries rabies.
