Pretty excited to be checking out a used LBT lite 3DAP tomorrow. If you know what a marine assault pack is, it is very similar with the narrow top. Had a very similar style a few years back and loved it! It allows you to mount almost any pouch you want and still be within the same bag profile. :)

You ever been to the town in Canada where Rambo was filmed?

hahaha....Brother....I know every inch of that town......and every film location from First Blood. I spent a lot of time over the the last couple decades fishing, hiking, wheeling and finding every film location for that movie. I have seen First Blood over 5000 times since its release. Got it on my hard drive, got the box set, saw it in the theaters.....watch it often on Youtube .......

The town has changed over the years...the bridge where Rambo had his confrontation with Sheriff is gone, some of the trees on the motor bike scene are gone, others are HUGE. The tunnels where Rambo fought off the rats are still there, hidden , but accessible.

I've been through Hope with my family years back, but didn't really take enough of it in.

I'd love to see the movie scene locations, First Blood is a favorite of mine.

Good idea: shaving with a straight razor.

Bad idea: letting your toddler watch you shave with a straight razor. She starts asking questions, then starts messing with something, then you nick the **** outta yourself while trying to stop her.

BC was the location for Rambo and Shooter. Virginia was the location for Dirty Dancing. Suddenly I feel emasculated a bit.

Be nice. Not all of us were privileged enough to come from a place founded for sheep shaggers and buggery on the high seas.

Well the guy ended up wanting $36 for it (yes a random amount) in like new condition it was a DEF purchase.
At the moment it is just a little to small for my needs. I’ll just finding a additional pouch and and I’ll be set!

I WANT to like the new SPyderco RESPECT Bowie.....but i just can't get around the design.........

the handle scales are a few millimeters higher than the spine, it looks totally off....just doesn't flow nicely(red circle)

and the big square "choil" cutout looks ridiculous with the bowie style guard. ...(orange circle)

    and VG10.....blech.

They nailed the sheath though, nice thick leather with a STUD on the front to fasten the retainer. Also prevents the sheath & knife from slipping down in your waistband.

but I just can't get into those those anomalies in the design...

    SP-FB44GP.jpg

then there is the BARK RIVER Edwin Forrest Bowie - I like this blade a LOT, but its missing the classic bowie guard....red circle). It just looks like a kitchen knife right now......meh......

I think it would look amazing with a two point guard, or even the bent tip bowie guard.
