Please read this one carefully. Next we have a Pacific Tool and Gauge magwell for a Ruger M77mk2 short action. I couldn't make this work. It would run about 95% of the time, with the remainder of the time the ejector would catch on the back of the magazine, causing a failure to eject. I've been screwing around for this for three years or so. I just visited the PTG website, and I now see that they are advising that their magwells will only work with factory profile stocks. I've been trying to fit mine to an aftermarket Bell and Carlson stock, which I suspect is the problem. I'm tempted to try another stock, but to be honest, I've soured on the idea of having a DBM bolt action rifle, and I'm just going back to the stock configuration. Magwell is in good shape. There is some bedding compound in the front screw hole and little flecks of it on the sides that will scrape off with a fingernail. $80 shipped in a flat rate box.
