Cool. That’s the thing, I would like to have something which is at least less specific then the strap in the Video. I would most likely use tekloks or similar clips which are on the knife sheaths, Molle clips and stuff like that.

I believe I understand what you are trying to do. I have made many belt loops, drop leg extensions, even full rifle slings with nothing more than nylon webbing, paracord, and red hot nails of various sizes. It's not pretty but is very secure.

I see. Pretty cool so far. But I would like to have something that keeps the knife in place in front of the chest. And maybe more sidewards or diagonal (like on a plate carrier).

Like this? I would use nylon web for the over the shoulder ( like a slung rifle) and elastic rope for the underarm piece. If the sheath has grommets mark thru them onto the web and burn in holes to lace the sheath to the web. Simple and secure.

I tend to like carrying my larger knives “scout carry”, especially the Junglas. The rig up below is a chest wader belt run through two large Tek Loks. I eventually came up with this setup so I could wear it over coats and insulated bibs in winter, over chest waders and with just workout shorts in the hot summers here. I’ve come to appreciate the flexibility this gives me when drawing and resheathing the knife. I’ve removed the molle back since taking this pic.

I’ve also cut up and modded the clip plate that comes with most of the larger Esee’s for IWB carry. This works really well for me with knives the size of the Laserstrike and 5, any larger and drawing/resheathing gets pretty awkward.

Thanks! It’s been a constantly evolving setup between running around in the swamps where I live and also hiking through thickets and densely wooded hills where I hunt in another state. I’m a larger framed guy so I’ve found this to get less snagged than other methods I’ve tried carrying the Junglas, along with eliminating it from slapping against my leg when worn vertical.

I had a hoonie and loved it, just too short for the machete work here. I have to say the Junglas has one of the best factory sheath systems I've ever bought.

I totally agree, if I know I’ll just be doing typical machete work I carry a 22” Fiskars or sweeper/brush hook. I use the Junglas for firewood processing and light machete work.

How do you carry a knife concealed when you carry a backpack? And I am not talking about putting it on the backpack somehow, but when you want to keep it on yourself?
I like to carry a knife just normal on my hips, but when the backpack has a hip-strap, it always sucks. But the problem is, I like to keep a knife on me and don't put it on my backpack. Same when I carry more then one blades, its okay to throw one or two in the backpack, but I still like to keep one on me. How do you do it?

Thats pretty cool! Especially for my first questions. But with a backpack? Wouldn´t the straps pressure the knife a lot into the rips?

I haven’t had much of a concern but placement is what matters I guess. I’ve worn this with a pack and no real issue.
