    That's the biggest 6 I've ever seen...

But I'm impressed with how it looks. How is it work-wise?

Thank you all for your kind words :)
Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it feels great. Just like a bigger 6 ;)

I like, and prefer a finger choil on a knife. Gives an area to choke up on the blade if needed, and makes sharpening easier.

I love it. Always wondered why esee puts choils on most of their lineup, yet leaves it off their two largest knives. The junglas and j2 need an option to choke up on smaller jobs in my opinion, where something like the 3 doesn't necessarily.

It would not....but I'd use caution in ensuring not to build up too much heat!

Those are the exact reasons why I wanted a choil, plus I find it looks much better. The J2 already has the feel of a knife smaller than it really is, so it feels super natural to choke up on it for smaller tasks. Some people say to just bring a smaller knife for finer tasks. Well, know I don't necessarily have to ;)

Shane, I was very careful not to heat it while grinding. The metal never got hotter than I could have my fingers on it, so nowhere near the critical temperature. But a good point nonetheless!

And what an outstanding warranty. It's been said before, but no other company would allow such shenanigans and still have the warranty cover anything :D

Wow! I thought mods and like stripping coatings voided it. Man, I thought the warranty was awesome. Turns out it is even more awesome.
