I've been using Black Hole bags for years and they are awesome. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for and they last forever.
Yeah the Black Hole and TNF Basecamp bags are both bags you buy, use once and completely forget anything about how much they cost. We use both and they are great.
Woot! Red/green filters for the AceBeam searchlight and a little led GITD blinky light arrived today And mail call from @Theo , with some handmade sheep ditty bags and I believe the first Exotac RipSpool to land on Canadian soil! The bags were a gift from @Theo and I bought the Ripspool from exotac website and Theo forwarded it to me to save me about $95 bucks in shipping/duties
this is a kind of a bittersweet purchase......my Dad and I wanted to gut the 1990 Mazda B2200 engine like a decade ago and install a Weber double barrel downdraft carb and eliminate all the emissions crap that choked up that engine so badly and get rid of the computer and make it solid state. Never really got around to it because life and and work and lack of time etc. The factory carb blew out several months ago, and while I have been able to sometimes start it and move it around the block (parked on street) its a bloody nightmare to get going due to the carb having like half a million plus km's on it, and a blown out needle valves and pretty much rotten diaphragm etc. Sold off some gear (@shivermetimbers is getting an almost new HPG Heavy Recon plus other loot ) and worked a few hours overtime. Just paid for a brand spanking new genuine Weber 32/36 2 bbl carb, plus mounting kit, manual choke. Should be in my mitts in a week or two. Ordering a Pacesetter header next week to finish off the install. the truck before a Weber swap (not my pics) after: 100% solid state, NO computers, everything manual (choke) and adjustable with tools . One (1) belt (fan/alt) , only electronics are the alternator /coil video (not mine) some dude that did a full restore and rebuild and Weber swap all in all, about 150lbs of junk comes off the engine and exhaust, and it runs much smoother and with better fuel economy (right now mine is still getting 10L to 100KM's, even after 29 years and mega KM's) it should get about 6- 8 liters per 100 km's after the swap) you have no idea how excited I am to be using my Dads (now mine) tools and how excited i am to do this Weber swap.........I only wish Dad was here to help out , his excitement at this conversion would be amazing to see....but we all know he will be right there in spirit as I do it myself. So Stoked right now. I don't even care that I pay insane truck insurance on 4 vehicles every month.........just knowing this old reliable truck that has been on SO MANY adventures over the years, that it will be even better after the mods........you all have no idea how stoked I am right now.
Well it finally came in, the sheath for my 4. Unfortunately I'm still out of town but I had my friend take pics. In my opinion it's a perfect match. Azwelke.
German Army Alpine Ruck I’ve done a bit of reading on this one, very popular medium ruck. It’s made of heavy canvas, near indestructible and weather proof to a certain degree. It’s perfect as a day pack for me, work (office, county title plant and county clerks office), trip to the boonies or as a gym bag. It will easily fit everything I need for all the above. I was leery of trying to order one, lots of knock-offs floating around. I ordered from Coleman’s Surplus, the only ones that had it, everyone else was sold out. I did a review search on Coleman’s, good reviews and I placed the order. These bags are all used. Have have read some mixed reviews on conditions in which they are received. Mine came in, looked like it’s seen very minor use and had a new canvas smell. I like it a lot so far. There’s a drawstring with a cinch lock for the main compartment. The main compartment has two parts, the smaller one with the 2 Velcro cinch straps is meant to hold a bedding pad. I didn’t get one but they can be ordered. Perfect pocket for a laptop when not out in the sticks. Lots of room for a small-medium ruck. Bedding pad pouch label. Looks like a date of manufacture and Stock/Ordering number. The bottom part looks like hand and machine washing instructions. The flap that covers the main compartment and the bottom of the bag have a heavy leather-like coating sewn in.
The fact that words like "Pflegeanleitung" actually exist boggles my mind. My Better Half informs me it translates to, "Care Instructions." And like many things, I'm just going to have to take her word for it.
i'm a glock guy (only because i found that i consistently shoot them the best...2nd is my h&k vp9) but damn...that's a sexy gun.
Everything I have had from them so far has been excellent to bad you can't get our awesome Alberta beer in BC... Calgary has over 16 breweries alone and some that are simply amazing
Brother.....I have over 45 craft breweries near me (30 block radius), 10 literally a block or two away...............its ABSOLUTELY INSANE the amount of micro breweries in Vancouver alone........
we want your awesome OIL/GAS Brother! we're good for brews.....but we need GAS......currently paying $1.70 a LITER
I had a case of Rapid Onset Signess. The X-Five has a lot of cool features, for sure, without being so competition-specific that it's not just a good all-around pistol. And it's going to get a sound flogging today....
