Ok, I'm looking for a good companion knife to go with my 6 in the woods. One that could possibly double as a EDC. I want it to be a Esee.
That's my plan eventually to go with my GB6HM, able to process any critters whether large or small. Oh and wood too.
Izula with the extended tkc scales (and maybe a regular pair of scales) then you essentially have two knives...an izula 2 when you want more handle and an izula for when you want more concealment
Will you ever need to stab with it? If yes, then izula 1/2 has a better finger guard. If not then you are back to having three on the table to choose.

Izula 1 Overall Length: 6.25″ Blade Length: 2.63″ Thickness: .156″ Steel: 1095 High Carbon, 55-57 Rc. You're not making this any easier, lol. You never know, I may run into someone who needs stabbing....
If that on the expected use list then id go Izula 1/2. Doesnt have to be stabbing a person. That stab cut can be used for many things.
That would be my vote (aside from the cleaver...) Can't imagine not having an Izzy II in my life - it's one of my most handy and used small fixed blades. Pair it with a 6 and there ain't much you can't do.
Its awesome that right now with Esee you have so many choices! You could go with the- Cr2.5 Candiru Izula Izula 2 Jg3 3hm I would personal suggest taking a LONG hard look at the JG3, its SO good for an edc knife, and would make for an extremely capable companion blade
