6.5x55 is a BRILLIANT round !!!!!! Several of my hunting friends have Tikka and Sako rifles in that as their primary hunting rifle. It is truly impressive !!

It really seems to be, I wish rug
It really seems to be, I'm on the look out for a mildly sporterized or completely beat up original swede to sporterize my self and make it into a scout style rifle.

Backwoods that rifle isn’t worth its weight in salt, ill offer you a fair price and handle shipping so you don’t have to look at it anymore

Lol! It is already tapped for an original Swedish diopter sight, they run about 150 used, debating if it's worth it or just stick with the notch. By swapping the front post out I can get the zero to 100 yards vs the 300 meter's it's zeroed to from the armory.

I'll bet you were shooting surplus military ball ammo, right? The 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser can be made sub minute of angle.
I used to own one, and if I could, I'd be kicking my own arse down the road for getting rid of it. It was sporterized, but done quite well, and if memory serves, was a very accurate gun.

Actually I was shooting modern prvi partizan soft points, about 16 bucks for 20 rounds, I wish I could find some surplus 6.5!

Hmm, don't know what to say then. When I had mine, it was well over twenty years ago. I'm pretty sure I was shooting Norma ammunition, but that was a while ago.

Yup they still make it! I mostly bought the PPU stuff as a source of brass for when I eventually get set up to reload for 6.5x55 and reading about it seems it shoots well and performs well on deer sized game.

Once you get set up reloading for it, I'm betting your groups will shrink, and you'll be happy.

My simple SA XDS .45 For 30+ years, I carried some form of full size 1911 model. That’s a hard habit to break. I still love a good 1911, but at half the weight, I’ve come to appreciate this one!

Got Norc? Good shooting rifle, sharp rifling and crown was cut @ 11 degrees. All numbers match. This has been a safe queen and now my sons.

About as close as we get to a handgun here in the UK. It's an Alpha Proj .357 converted to be a muzzle loader using smokeless pistol powders. Only other option is a long barrelled pistol, which I just dont like the feel of.

Lewis Machine and Tool, LMT, .308 during load development. Shoots Berger quite well. Topped with Vortex HST/Larue mount.

I'd only had the chance for one short range session with the new Henry last week - enough to tell that the sights were off, but not enough to dial it in. Today's session was better and I had the range all to myself.

@ 50 yards from the bench. 25 shots, the first 10 or so were still getting the sight adjusted and then I was pretty happy with the results.

    Last 25 shots were @ 25 yards, free-standing:

Still some tweaking to do, but it's getting there. Really fun little carbine and a great way to start the weekend....;)

Top: HK USP .45 Tac 12+1, originally bought for myself. I taped and painted the front blade for quicker acquisition, shot it once, loved everything about it. It has special spring that decreases recoil by 30%, very overbuilt. The thumb safety operates just like a 1911, push past fire and it decocks the hammer. It’s a big gun, won’t CCW it. I gave it to my son after he graduated Army Boot. Real good shooter.

Bottom: HK VP9, got it on sale during Xmas at the base exchange, $499 out the door. I’m retired AF, so OD is a soft spot for me. Ergonomically perfect for my paws. Shoots great, they expanded the mag release on these, tiny on the USP, and it has cocking/racking wings on back of the slide. I used carry full size 1911’s (Colt CE/Ed Brown), they seem to spent more time in the safe these days..as this seems to fill the roll better for me. I’m not a anti-1911 convert. I like all guns..
