ESEE’s first trip to the IWA show in Germany We had been hearing for a while that the IWA show in Nuremberg Germany was Europe’s version of SHOT show. Always looking to gain more dealers and distributors, we decided to check it out for ourselves. Mike attended the show in 2018 as a scouting mission, and he and Jeff felt that there was only one way to find out if it was worth our while, and that was to set up a booth there. Chief Operating Officer Bruce Bramblett, Marketing Director Shane Adams, and I flew from Atlanta to Frankfurt. From there we took a two-hour train ride to Nuremberg, and then another short train to the convention center. We located our booth space and set everything up. Since we were traveling light, set up wasn’t a big undertaking like it is at SHOT and Blade show. There were many recognizable brands present and we ran into several familiar faces from Condor Knife and Tool, TOPS, Cold Steel, Casstrom, Helle, Mora and so on. Over the next four days we confirmed our thoughts that ESEE is a very popular brand in Europe. Many fans came by showing us their Izulas, telling us which knife was their favorite, and even two that showed us their ESEE tattoos! We talked with many folks interested in becoming dealers and a few possible distributors. Catalogs, stickers, and patches all flew off the counters as fast as we could restock them. IWA was a great show for us and our European fans should look for us to be there in the future!
Not to knock the Esee showcase, you have a stellar lineup; but that booth with the vehicle/scout/Range Rover/Jeep/ whatever it is....what a booth! Great presentation of product. Excellent marketing.
That was a line of "safari" products. Bags, tables, suitcases for champagne glasses etc. And no offense taken! This trip was a learning experience for us. They definitely put a lot of thought and money into their booth design.
Here are a few pics of mine...Awesome trip and I was very pleased with our reception at IWA!!.. Nürnberg Train station n the way out... We had two guys in 10 minutes come up and show us an ESEE Tattoo....an E4 And a very fresh Laser Strike....this one was a week old! A Spanish Hunting TV show we work with interviewing @Patrick Rollins I could not pronounce (or spell) the name of this company but the rifles were beautiful. Pewter skulls are the rage in Europe evidently....yes...that is a bullet hole. French YouTuber and Blogger! A Eurpoean Fan that produced a RAT PACK knife!! Downtown Nürnberg First trip with the Hill People Gear AHBC...I slid the Admin Pocket under the flap and when I got into the plan I just pulled the Admin pocket out and it had all I needed for my flight...Awesome set up and the extra capacity of this pack over my Umlindi was appreciated.. Frankfurt Train station....and a reflective @Patrick Rollins a little Black & White action....Frankfurt Train Station. We got to hang out with the guys from Reate and Liong Mah knives....great guys and some very nice knives... Another Hill People Gear fan.....this guy was the Taiwanese dealer for HPG. For as much as you around here @shaneadams90 I would have thought you would be much much taller....like 7ft Great pics! Looks like lots of fun! That first esee tattoo looks counterfeit lol
I'm little but I'm durable... I held onto hope to break 6' till I was about 27yrs old....at 47 now I feel like I'm shrinking!
Feel bad? I got over that a long time ago... now I have an oldest son that outweighs me by 20lbs and a youngest son that is a full 2" taller that is constantly standing next to me...just to show people (and me) that he's taller than me.... To remedy some the excessive testerone in the house I took them to my jits gym and we did some rolling and "light sparring"...that seemed to help out a bit...
