    Hammer may be correct. My first thought was the brow tines of a moose.

    Do you have caribou in your area? Perhaps the top, palmated section of caribou. Or, a small moose. The striations look like moose.

    Those look like moose. Buddy has a set of moose antlers on his shed and they have the same huge flat area

    I have confirmed they are in fact moose, i'm currently in craigslist negotiations with a few stubborn locals on some fresh stag right now

    Here's a pair I found up behind the house on a hunt a few years ago (that's a 64" longbow for scale). They're still sitting in the backyard - I need to get them hung up.

    they are huge. Part of his man cave (the shed is his private space away from wifey and kids). Him and his dad and uncle went hunting a few years back and that was his first moose, I doubt he wants to part with them :D
