    So let's try and reset the expectation on how product is shipped and delivered....

    The Axes began shipping to dealers last week as promised....NOW....with that being said one needs to understand that companies often place LARGE orders with MULTIPLE items on them....this means MOST of those orders will have to be put on a pallet and be shipped by a freight carrier over ground.....that takes time....

    When a company receives their ESEE product they are also checking in MANY other products.... from ESEE and other companies......and bc the AXE is a brand new product so there is some inventory work that needs to be done as well on their end....once again...a little more time.

    Once in inventory they start shipping orders, usually first in= first out....

    Once it leaves Rowen we have NO IDEA how long it takes to get to the end user and it's entirely up to the receiving dealers in how long it takes....some are super efficient, others are slower....be patient the pipe line is filling and will be headed out to end users any day know.....

    @shaneadams90 BUT I want mine NOW!!! (Joking :) )

    But seriously I know that there has been some major shipping issues recently due to weather. So a lot of companies are playing catch up. Plus add the fact coming from Idaho to a lot of east coast dealers will def take more time because of ongoing weather issues.

    Thanks for replying. Trust me, I understand the complexities of large scale shipping, I was simply trying to figure out exactly what was going on. Again, thanks for the response.

    When is the double bit going to be shipping? Expat said the preorder for the double bit is coming in a few days.

    The spoons he makes look amazing. I'd love to learn how to do it as nicely as he does it. I'm impatient and it would likely ruin it... ha!

    That’s actually what the hold up is on the axes being delivered. They had to recall them because they forgot to put the double of the double bit on them.

    Serious question... what task will this axe fill for you all?

    @Strigidae
    If you are referring to the standard soon to be in local hands axe then I would say I am looking for a decent “little axe”. Anything larger that I would try to cut or chop I would use my collapsible saw for. Other axes I have are either to heavy or awkward to accomplish the smaller tasks that are to much for a knife and over kill for the saw.

    A double sided Gibson axe.. Zombies Clearly James was planning for Zombies ;)

    I was trying to think if i could use it to "baton" wood down. Would have to use the top of the edge as the wedge and raise the handle up to get purchase on the baton. Maybe itll only work in my head.

    I wanna know more about that tomahawk in the second to last pic. The handle is gorgeous but it doesn't look like a typical slip fit.
