That’s the mother from centerline systems. I use it for my bottle kit. It’s great holds a ton. I ordered an orange one and forgot that it was a rectangle because mine has been forced into being round forever...

Still experimenting with my Umlindi. I'm loving the center zip on the Tara pocket so much I'm tempted to by a tarahumara pack for EDC.

    Anybody wanna buy some stuff??

I'm preparing an HPG Prairie belt and suspender system for hog slaying.
I've still got to figure out how to carry the ESEE 6. I've got it stuffed in the molle II waist pack that I'm using as a butt pack, but there isn't any real security in that method of mounting. I think I need to get a molle backing, so I can really secure the knife 20190301_132210.jpg 20190301_141335.jpg

I mounted a knife on the prairie belt at a 45ish angle, weak side, using a teklok.

HPG Prairie Belt and harness, and TAG pouches make up the exterior of the gun belt. NEMO Battle-Light 300.
    I also use the AH.
The belt supports the gun and the pack supports me.
It's a really comfortable setup. The HPG stuff is super nice.

I can do a breakdown of the gear on the inside, if you're interested.

Here is what is always in my belt and harness system.
There are other items that will eventually be included such as navigation, documentation and communication. I'll take some more pictures when this system reaches its final form.

    20190314_182435.jpg
The ESEE Izula II, gate keys, range finder (the NEMO is a devastater under 200 meters), zebralight headlamp in 18650 and batteries for everything in the belt and on the gun. Vortex binoculars and my silver coin. If you carry a gun without a silver coin, you are wrong, imho.
    20190314_182533.jpg

Snacks, bullets, gunshot trauma kit, mosquito face netting, bandana, plastic baggies, vape, ESEE 6 and sharpener (I'll likely ditch the sharpner).
    20190314_182546.jpg

Poncho, 550 cord and bug repellent.
    20190314_182556.jpg

Snug fit in some places and lots of space in other places.
    20190314_183223.jpg

I keep the ESEE 6 attached to the back of the belt. It's easy to access and still kinda pancaked between two pouches.
    20190314_184056.jpg

    20190314_183836.jpg

I like having the large and small ESEE knives available. I've been using the Izula to cut away vines that snag me, it's so easy to access and effortlessly pushes through thumb sized vines.
I'm gonna plunge the ESEE 6 into a hog, first chance I get!
I even, unbelievably if you knew me, ditched my benchmade for the ESSE duo. I love my benchmade. I hope to love my ESEEs one day.

    20190304_175337.jpg
It's a comfortable setup, to me. So far so good. I'll prolly have everything in it's final form in the next month or two.

I have a question for y'all. Let's fantasize a scenario where you go out with the kit bag as your main component, no backpack. Let's say a planned 8-12 hours.

    How would you carry water?
    Recon harness with bladder?
    Canteen pouch on belt?
Drink water from a muddy hoofprint?
(Name that movie reference for a bonus.)

I know some of you guys have surely done exactly what I'm speculating on, so..

That was my frustration with the chest rig (heavy recon) .......water..... some areas here I need at least 4 litres to last until next creek

Sure I could have gotten the recon harness and a small water bladder but I kinda hate that water weight up so high, especially here in this terrain

I could add canteens to my belt, but I hated how the belt loops broke from canteen weight causing the belt to abrade the belt loops

So I went with my webbing rig and ditched the chest rig

Ok, you confirmed two of my concerns.

I still have an old pistol belt or 3 that followed me home. (They still fit, too..:))
So I guess I could put a couple canteen pouches on it and be good to go.

    Still open to other suggestions....

Recon harness. It transforms my Kit Bag into a water-hauling, day hiking rig, as long as I keep it minimal.

Oh, and that quote would be Mattie Ross from True Grit, if I do recollect correctly. ;)
