Now my time is up with these knives, they are all cleaned up and coated with @RedEyedHog Bfat, they will be headed out to @Strigidae tomorrow for his round of testing.

    Now for my thoughts:

All three of these knive performed well in all my tests, they cut well and maintained a very good edge, did they perform better than my 1095 ESEE Knives, no they didn’t. I couldn’t tell much difference in the blades, #3 seemed to carve green maple slightly better than the others but that could have been the wood.

I have done all of these with my 1095 Esee 3, 4, 2.5, PR4, JG3, and Laser Strike and the only difference was the coating, it’s does tend to cause a little friction.

I know people ask for there knive in all these super steels, but I just don’t understand it, I like a steel that is easy to sharpen and maintain in the field. If I need to pick up a rock to sharpen it(which I have done on an Esee 4) I want a steel that will work with that. I don’t think the guys at Esee would choose some steel that would affect there field maintenance but that is my humble opinion.

As for these three knives I don’t know what steel they are or could even guess, for all I know they are all 1095.

    Speaking of "coming over there"

Any chance I can perform a controlled corrosion resistance test on them? Obviously not anything crazy, and I would do it to a part of the knife that's covered by the scales so it can be easily cleaned off or completely unnoticeable.

We for sure need to know how they throw now. To check the balance of course.
