Here's one I did a couple years ago, made from cherry. I just cut a limb from the tree so I will be making another very soon.
Chopsticks, Too hard to use blah blah have to be straight blah blah needs precise tips blah blah blah....."Know what I think bout all that big talk Josey Wales?" 2 sections of a peach limb I was pruning, bout 12" long and pencil sized. Took a couple of minutes to smooth a few spots and whittle in the tips. Wasn't eating at the time so some "simulated" food in both chunk and noodley form.
I like it. Decided not to play with it too much yet. Most of my blades eventually get convexed (exception is scandi stuff). I sure the hatchet will as well, just not yet.
I cut a cherry that blew over. Its made some great BBQ. Thought I’d do some spoons with some of it. I just finished this one.
I got that from Blues Bushcraft. It’s perfect for what I wanted. Their in the UK, which made shipping outrageous. I carry it in my Tara daily. I wish it was a tad bit taller for longer handled stuff. It’s made out of a light wax cloth. If you make one, make two. I need another!
Would you be interested it do a brief tutorial, a pictorial of the rough steps in the process. Just curious.
