I would like to convert my 16" carbine to 11" pistol. It's a long stroke piston system PWS chambered in 7.62X39 (around 100 rds through it, before I got my 6.8 SPC carbine). Because it's a piston system, you don't have to worry about the cheap ammo blowing gas back into your receiver assembly and gunking up the guts. Love the upper, but I have another one in 6.8 SPC fulfilling the same role, so want to make this one into a pistol.

Selling both for $900, upper only - $800.

Have pics on request, just PM me your e-mail or cell. Thank you.

Don't mean to jack your thread but I assume this is on a receiver you bought as an "other" firearm and built the 16 incher? You cannot build a pistol on a rifle receiver period, you would have to SBR it with ATF. It's a little grey but there can be issues even if it was an "other" but was built as a rifle first. I put all my builds together as a pistol and take pictures before putting a rifle length barrel on just to be safe.

Yes, it is. Thanks for looking out, man. You live and you learn, I guess.
Let me check on it. In the meantime, these items are on hold.

Yep, it's stupid...built as a rifle, always a rifle....unless you pay the tax to our overlords to make it an SBR. :-/

So if I bought it stripped and built in into a rifle, it's a rifle lower? How would ATF know what it was built into first? I guess I'll just keep it then, not worth the hassle. My fate in the US is in the hands of federal government lol, I can't afford to test their patience.
