I download and then listen later. On an iPod Classic, no less. I rarely get a cell signal at work (oil field) and radio signals are often only in Spanish so podcasts keep me company.

Art of Manliness, Forward Observer, and Revisionist History are my top three.

-The Smoking Tire seems to be ok, although I've only listened to a handful.

-Slightly Harder to Kill with Caleb Giddings and Annette Evans (?) - I think they've only done one so far, but it's good. If profanity bothers you or you get butt hurt easily then avoid this one.

-Sometimes the Primary and Secondary shows have good info, but the majority of the time I don't make it through 15 minutes. They've had good episodes on international travel, bug in/out etc and holster design/selection this year.

    Shows I didn't care for:
    - Skillset Podcast. It's like the Fighter and the Kid talk about guns and stuff.

    -Fieldcraft Survival

It's addictive. I'm not much on music, but I'll listen to podcasts all day long while driving, working if possible and at the gym. You just have to find some that interest you.

A worthy episode of Across the Peak. A little intro stuff to get through, but stick with it - once Todd Orr starts telling his story, and time to crack a beer and hold on. Incredible story and it's amazing he's alive.

Side note - he's killed 28 bull elk with a pistol?!? Holy crap...

I've been listening to the Smoking Tire Podcast more the last few weeks. Good show for car guys that want something more than just someone comparing written specs. They have some really good guests and let them talk.

I haven't had a chance to listen to any of the episodes yet, but Tom Krein and some guys I've never heard of are doing a knife podcast called Mark of the Maker.

Maybe it'll be good. So far all the knife and gear podcasts I've found have generally sucked.

Does anyone listen to podcasts about aliens or true crime? I thought about starting to listen to some but wondering what some good ones were.

Rogan's show with Pat McNamara was good. A little short, but good.

"Every night is a Saturday night and every morning is a Monday morning" is one of the best mantras I've heard in a while.

Just finished the last episode of meateater podcast. 159 episodes. Now I'm switching back to Joe Rogan. I think I'm gonna give wired to hunt a shot next.

I generally listen to Meateater the same week they come out but have gotten a bit burned out on it lately.

The great thing about Rogan is the variety of his guests. I still skip some (Richard Rawlings? What a douchbag) but enjoy most of them.

And the great thing about Meateater is that the few times I've gotten burnt out on it they immediately put out a really good episode that draws me back in. This last week they had the owners of Weatherby on and it is a good, fun listen. You'll learn stuff and be entertained.

Ballistic Radio has Dr. William Aprill this week. If you've never heard an interview with Dr. Aprill then I can't recommend it enough. This isn't the best interview that I've heard with him, but there are dozens out there and you can basically just pick one and start from there. You will be better off for it.

I actually just listened to the episode(?) with Richard rawlings. Honestly it was one of the best in my opinion. Very funny and easy going. Definitely worth a listen.

I just finished this week's Meateater, "The Weed Warden". Very good interview with a retired Game Warden who ended up specializing in cartel grow operation enforcement.
    I highly recommend it.
