I oddly enough....found the history of him and the men he helped and the men that helped them, while trying to find history on vietnam era US webbing gear. Down the rabbit hole i went and started finding a ton of info on him.
That's awesome. Crazy thing is I grew up a couple towns over from El Campo. I had to rewind it to make sure I heard him right when he name dropped it. That whole story is awesome. Crazy, but awesome.
more BadA**ery! - black hats...... Ted Gundy.... anybody notice the backpack he is resting his rifle on?
I love history! I think we need to bring to light as many of these men and women who were involved those conflicts........as many as we can.......this day and age its rapidly being forgotten or shamed/buried........ More than ever right now we need to look back on history and hopefully use it as a teaching tool and a mentoring tool. my ex GF's kids were not eve taught ANYTHING about ww1/2, the pacific, okinawa, pearl harbour, korea, bosnia/serbia / gulf war/ current wars etc..... they LITERALLY HAVE NO CLUE.....
Brothers Of The BroadAxe / logging history US/CANADA this one is close to my heart, I know all these areas. Little piece of BC logging history, these loggers were bad-azz!
