15 or so days left in November!

your mission is to build a lean-to, with just wood, or pole/tarp , cordage/nails/etc, and a fire in front of it.

bonus points for sealing it up Mors "hot shelter" style and spending a hot night in it.

    go!

Bushman5, thanks for stepping up to the plate on Novembers challenge.
I may sit this out for awhile as I am caring for an ailing family member.
I will circle back on this as soon as I can get out...........
Glad to see a new challenge that I can get pumped for.

Same thing, I'm chasing deer, or ghosts...looks like hoof central around my feeder but not a speck of hair have I seen. A further complication is the amount of rain, stand still almost anywhere and your feet began to sink as water oozes out as if you were standing on a sponge.

Are you sure they're deer tracks and not hogs?

There a few piggies but plenty of deer too. I'm going to ask one of the other guys who has a cam on his plot as soon as I see him. It started raining here around 9pm last night, it was still raining at 6am, still at 12 noon....even on well drained hills it soupy soggy mud paradise. :)

I don't know whether to call for venison or pork BBQ.

    I'm so confused.

    But given a choice,
    I'll go for pork BBQ.

.. with beer and beans.

BBQ pork, Venison Stew. Both cut with a machete that if you're lucky I rinsed in a clear creek. ;). Bushman may not get his camp out though, I could float a deer back up the drainage if I had hip boots....it's something to see, every creek and stream is out of its banks.

This late in the month, we're gonna need some musique here.

Later, I'll post some pics of the hammock camp out by the lip of the ravine.

    But for now, just this.
