Newest Challenge. I don't think my pictures properly represent just how ****** up these two knives were. I can't put metal back where it should not have been taken away, but I think both of these ended up a world better than where they started. I lost light for the after pics because of the time it took to get them fixed and they'll be headed back to the PNW before I get more natural light. All Dragon Hank background are before, and Octopus Hank are after.

Damn Ehran! Those look so much better than they did; fantastic job, man!

You are right about the before pics, they don't show how bad the factory edge and grind was. I'll do a little review about these li'l Anza knives once I've had some hands-on time with them.

    Thanks again @Slade! :D

    Shameless bump.

Still sharpening frequently, but most of the stuff goes on via PM/text.

I still offer the service and I still have a money back satisfaction guarantee.

Been a while since this thread had any visibility. I still sharpen regularly for myself and others. A new happy member here on the forum, but we have a lot of new members, so I thought I would give it a bump. If you have something you would like me to improve, drop me a line.

I've got a few blades already coming for improvement. I have some general info in the first listing of this post, but for anyone interested, the basic info at a glance
    • $10 for the first blade and $8 for each additional plus return shipping (insurance if wanted) at commercial rate cost which is definitely cheaper than retail rates.
    • I ship with printed and bar-coded labels and use simple packaging that doesn't draw attention. I have never lost a package in the mail and I've shipped many hundreds of them. I use a USPS Dropbox these days for outgoing.
    • I specialize in convex and can handle broken tips, chips, etc. Any angle and finish wanted, or I can match angle and finish to the steel and intended use. I do Scandivex, but not true flat scandi.
    • Convex is the easiest edge to maintain IMO, and most users should only need abrasive on a leather strop to get a very long life from a knife that I have sharpened.
    • I've sharpened A LOT of knives in a nice variety of steels, but if your job is something I'm not comfortable with I'll let you know.
There's no shame in wanting something sharpened because you don't have the time, skill or equipment to do it yourself. I've got experience that can't be duplicated quickly and a lot of money in equipment to do it right that just isn't justifiable for most users. I happy keeping any sharpening I do confidential, but that’s up to the customer.

.... welcome aboard, if you use @Slade to sharpen for you, you will be happy. I would also suggest staring a "conversation" (that the private message/direct message' function here as that will also send a notification to his email.

Revising my pricing a little bit to catch up with the times. Shipping has gone up also.

Doing $15 for the first edge now and $10 for each additional. Throwing a $2 discount per knife for easy jobs, which a lot of ESEE are. Given the time it takes to sharpen, even without any wear and tear on gear, this represents less than 1/3 of what I make at my real job. I try to do it as a service to members here on the forum, but my wife would have my hide for just giving my time away.

    Stay sharp people.
