This months challenge is all about cooking. Take your cooking skills to the max and show off you abilities in this thread. Heres the catch, it must be outside. Thats it... outside and cooking. Extra points for using the Expat cleaver.
It's not much but I'll kick this one off with yesterdays grilling. Pork tenderloin bought from a local farm. Little bit of salt and pepper, then 10 minutes per side on the grill. I freaking love buying meat from this guy! He rears, raises, butchers, and ages everything right there on the farm.
Nope, I can broil, souvie, poach, fry and many other types (the things you pick up being a chef in a former life) but this is by far my favorite.
Not me... However from the same spot I posted the one above.... my best mate tending his homemade stove before boiling up for a meal in a bag....
Awwww, ya had to do that. I've just been daydreaming about late season silvers on the Little Willow and moose season during this southern sweatfest known as Labor Day!
This was down in Juneau and they are definitely running now. The other side from where I was cooking was COVERED in bear sign
how about a brew up? classic strong British Tea, made with water from the 58 Pattern Osprey SAS canteen, boiled in the SAS MKettle nad served in the 58 Pattern mug. By a mountain lake.
A couple more: Cooking some breakfast up in the Goat Rocks, Washington State Cooking in the tent vestibule on a rainy morning
I got a new Lodge coming, give me a few days. Gotta be contained heat though, we are still under a burn ban...despite the fact that it's rained for the past 3 days!
