I spent the day mowing and cutting down some bushes with a machete today. I had my JG3 with me until it decided to go over the wall and out the side pocket of my carpenters pants.

I spent a couple of hours calling and looking to no avail. I'll go out early tomorrow hoping it will come out because het is hungry and lonesome. I might put up some "lost" posters, I don't think he's gone far.

Truthfully, I think this one is gone. It could be anywhere in five acres or so.

Not a good day, my JG3 was probably my most favorite knife.

I feel just like when Ol' Yeller died.

oh man....that sucks ! I'd retrace your every steps when the sun comes up in the AM................grab a coffee and go for a good long walk. Maybe run some string and make a grid......the JG3 is worth the effort

this is why i HATE the leather sheaths that come with certain knives from Esee. ZERO RETENTION.

(sorry, its my opinion. A lot of people wont like it. )

The sheath, knife and its small red lanyard all ran away.

I'm hoping the lanyard will help.

I would suggest a roofer magnet, it's a wheeled job that looks like the old circular blade push mowers from the 50's. You just push along and wait fir the clank, sheathed or not that bugger will zip it up. :). Good luck.

I thought I'd get out early this morning before church. Spent about an hour sweeping clumps of grass cuttings and looked where I'd piled brush. No luck.

Started back to the house and right in the middle of the field where the grass was shortest was my JG3! It was laying propped across the sheath like it was posing for a photo. Strange that I didn't see it when I was mowing. Hmmm...

    Miracles do happen!

Know anyone with a magnetic locator like they use for water pipes and utility pipes? That would make the job of finding it easier...
