    Im about ready to try again. Spent about a week on one and it cracked.

    It keeps it from drying out until you get to it. At least that’s what I heard.

    You need to do it, don’t carve it all the way until it dries. You can microwave it if you want.

    I never tried to carve pear. I'll bet that will look great.
    You should do a step by step tutorial brother.

    No sir not really. I live in the ozarks and it ain't nothing but hot and humid here.
    But my shop has A/C so I'll spend a lot of evenings there till mid September.

    IMG_1370.JPG This one was carved with a Mora. Started it with a Winkler Woodsman but the blade and grind was to thick to get the fine cuts. Cleaned it up with some 100 grit.
