Exactly what I'm saying and I like it. Get in tune with that click and you'll hit that spot every time.

I've come to like it, too. I think it's like anything else that you practice with enough to get accustomed to or appreciate. I've invested in holsters for OWB and IWB. So mine pulls double duty now between brush and daily carry. I was handling a S&W SSR about a week ago. I have nothing but praise for the fit and finish and it locked up nicely. It had a very smooth, seamless action. But I've grown accustomed to the action on my GP.

Thanks @Strigidae and @shaneadams90 They're the stock grips that Hogue makes. The only downside to them is running stout magnum loads downrange with ungloved hands. I took my gloves off to see how it would feel if I ever had to use it without them. The stippling put a nice blister my left hand before I could get through a box of 50.

    Yeah!!!! Canadian kit!

see up here we don't need boom sticks for a woods walk....because we're already so riled up by insane fuel , food and real estate costs, excessive payroll taxes, a lousy and expensive ferry system, outrageous beer prices but worst of all............previously frozen Tim Hortons donuts........

no animal in its right mind is going to mess with a BC Canuck hiker...........to do so would invoke a classic BC hiker response....we start with a stern talking to....then we would flip up our kilts, pump up the bagpipes and run after the beastie that dare stalk us, blaring bagpipe music. Give the beastie a good stick wallop and then when its had enough, put our arm around it and feed it Lucky Lager. Then its catnip time...... :)

ah but serious note.....wild animals are unpredictable......be aware. :)

I've always wondered how large cats would react to the stuff. Apparently they are as fond of it as our domestic kids. A real friend would stash a bag of it in his buddy's pack before hitting the trail.

Two sketchy drunk guys were hassling dad and I while fishing tonight. They became scarce when my Junglas 2 came out of my backpack. Didn’t do anything threatening, just set it on top my pack within arms reach.

I need to start carrying pepper spray again.

That would be enough to give me pause too!

Here in IL all of our trail threats are of the 2 legged variety. I carry my G19 where allowed, (cook county forest preserves are a gfz) and the same demeanor I'd use walking through the city. Head up, shoulders back, and eye contact.
