We may do a run of Hill People Gear Kit Bags in a high visiblity color (red or orange), and we're hoping we can get a good sense which color and model folks would be most interested in. This isn't a guarantee that we'll do the most popular option, but we would definitely be grateful for your thoughts.
I'm good with any high vis. Prefer orange but will accept what I can get. I think I'm going to get a can of Krylon orange and spray paint the one I have.
@shaneadams90 I think that would be the big draw for these. If I could afford to have a kit bag just for medical purposes it would be awesome! @5col This May sound funny BUT it would depend on the shade of red... If the only avalible red was super dark I would choose a bright orange instead. If the orange was to dark I would pick a brighter red. So I quess I would choose what ever color provided the greatest visibility if that makes sense. Red to Orange variety below. Heat scale orange to red. Color tempature orange to red Orange red variety And because it had the best red orange variety regardless what it is actually talking about.
brushable polyurethane (epoxy i think?) , the kind they soak webbing straps (snowshoes, turn out gear etc) . Not only will you get the color you want, but it will rugged-ize the fabric and prevent abrasion wear.
Is this still a thing? My vote goes to the Heavy in Orange, but if any kit bag is released in a hi visibility color with webbing on the front, I'm going to be snatching it up. Missed my chance with the HPG SAR kit bag.
We should have HPG SAR kit bags in stock later this month. Our production run is still in progress at First Spear. I'm pretty sure both HPG and we will do more runs of the SAR Kit Bags after these first two. We may still do a high vis Kit Bag. The other day I was thinking Blaze Orange Heavy Recon with Blaze Orange Recon Harness. That would be a pretty great combo for hunting season.
@5col That would be a great combo for a lot of things. Now I dont know if I want to get the SAR variant or wait and see if the blaze orange pans out, because I would prefer the blaze.
Gotta say, I put the Recon Harness on for the WFR class and now I don't know how I ever lived without it. Maybe the smart money is on a run of SAR Kit Bags in Blaze Orange, with Blaze Orange Recon Harnesses.
