So...what did you actually cut today with your knife?

How many days pass in a week that you don’t use your pocket knife at all?

Today was a very boring knife day: I cut cardboard and sharpened a pencil.

I used my SAK to tighten down an optic on an AR....and then later used the Same SAK to help pop a clip off my h11 headlight bulb so I could change it out.....good ole SAK.

Mora Bushcraft Black cut points onto tarp stakes to try the new tarp in the backwoods.
Before that, I batoned the top of said stakes using said knife.

Zancudo: cut some cord, then opened a HUGE shipment from Amazon (equipment to help me make it professionally this year), then cut slices off of a ribroast and the mushrooms that I ate with it, plus the cheese. Don't forget the cheese.

Izula: sat around on its lazy ass this morning, lounging in the sun streaming in a south window saying, "Sharpen me."

    So I did.

    Ha! Wish I had pics..

Used my izula like a draw knife at work (off unit) on my office door because they rehung it with new hinges, humidity caused it to swell, and I had to kick it open this morning.
Maintenance was too busy unsticking a bunch more doors throughout the hospital.:p:p:p

Sharpened 2 pencils with the rat2, 1 reg and 1 flat square carpenter type, whittled for 5 minutes with the Condor 18", just shavings in the box, opened a cheese package later. I'm hoping at some point to be familiar or comfortable enough with my chete to carry just the rat2 and the 18". ;)

I opened a few pieces of mail and cut a loose thread off my shirt. Small Sebenza 21.

Nowadays that's typical use for my pocket knives. I used pocket knives much harder as a teenager, but then again most tasks, even outdoor ones, were more spur of the moment. Now I'm older and have those pesky things like a job and family commitments taking up the bulk of my time. Therefore I get out less; however when I do it's usually planned and I'll bring a fixed blade for the real cutting work.

Cut an apple up this morning for my 3 year old with my Boker + Tech Tool, then used the screwdriver on it to change the batteries on her toy (does that count?)

Rock and roll in our household this morning!

My girlfriend has no kitchen knives at home so my Laser Strike lives on the cutting board and is my EDC when I leave.

It cut tomatoes, mushrooms, green onions and garlic for dinner prep last night.

I opened a box and inner package of Honest diapers with my BM Adamas when I dropped my daughter off at my mom's this morning. Took a bilge-pump apart with my Leatherman Kick about an hour ago, then stabbed a stack of Post-it notes on my work buddy's desk with my Adamas just to screw with him. Pretty average knife/multitool usage day so far.

Indeed. Getting a faithful reproduction of a duck fart in full sprint requires output akin to my Dewalt compressor.

Today I have cut some paracord, sharpened some sticks for stakes, opened two boxes and three envelopes.

Nothing fancy, just everyday knife stuff.

To save time, we need a button that allows a "like" of all posts in a thread.
(I stopped "liking" just upstream just because I got tired of clicking, but they're all good.)

Today, because it rained cats outside (but no dogs), I only used my Zancudo to

    1) cut more of that ribroast for dinner with mushrooms cut in half by it, pan fried in olive oil, butter and bacon grease, then added sea salt, pepper, basil, parsley and cayenne. Served the whole cut up mess on a plate of spring greens with two cheddars (including a fancy Dubliner), artichoke hearts, roasted peppers, doused with olive oil and balsamic.

    2) open two nested plastic bags (plus the envelope they were delivered in by UPS) to free 100 .44 steel balls for my slingshot, which I'll shoot down at the range tomorrow side by side with my .50's. Based on their feel, I think the .44's will work better for me for small game ...

... which I can then dress with my Zancudo, which will result in future stories for this thread.
