Thanks. And they compliment eachother very well. Not many outdoor chores they can't handle as a team That's a very special specimen you have there. Look beautiful. What tools do you have packed in there?
Mine is fairly well travelled and cut a metric shyte tonne of wood in New Zealand last year (crappy crappy wood that burnt FAST)....it was out today doing some yard work...
Silky saws. The big boy and replacement blade are always in the pack. The pocket boy ill bring if im expecting to do some bushcraft woodwork practice.
30 inch bahco saw blade Two split rings Third stick tree thing i tried Stolen idea from Mors. Still needs more refining but it works.
Ohoh... something went very wrong today?! Sawing this piece of beechwood my Opinel #12 snapped?! Luckily without personal harm. It's still pretty new... I'll check out if the warranty covers this.
That sucks. I've come close on more than one occasion to doing that. I get to ripping away and on a push the tip of my saw binds and my blade bows pretty hard. My Corona (10") has a very noticeable warp because of it. It has me wanting a shorter bladed saw.
I was planning on ordering one of these this week. I can’t say I’ve seen one break before. Hmm might buy the smaller silky pocketboy or another bahco instead.
Really old pic of me when we first moved here, gathering some firewood with my Bob Dustrude 24" bucksaw.
Found a bunch of downed wood on the edge of the FS land that was worth scavenging for our backyard fire pit - mix of pine and mountain mahogany. The Dustrude ate through it like buttah.
