I could live in that. Pair of skis at the door. Nice wood stove inside with a pan of bacon cooking. And a whole bunch of whiskys to try at night.
Don't get much snow around these parts, so it was a genuine joy to have a little bit for a few hours. A honest-to-goodness South Carolina blizzard as seen from the shop.
I would like to post a new snow pic as we have broken our annual snow fall record but it is 72 degrees out at 10:30 in the evening and all of the snow has melted. We now stand at 152.1" beating the old record of 149.1". It has rained for two days and the winds have been out of the south and will continue to be so for the next week possibly. This is quite possibly the strangest winter that I have seen in my 59 years.
No flooding. I sit about 1/2 of a mile from lake Erie and am guessing that I am 100' above the lake .
Southeast Ohio hasn't been so lucky. I can't even get to my camper. Too many closed roads. Hopefully it dies down soon.
And here in Louisiana it's 80*F and 88% humidity....feels like I live in satan's taint!!! I'd like to b!tchslap my Nordic ancestors for settling here, I'm obviously meant for living in the north. If only I could get my wife to take another state's BAR exam and migrate to a cooler climate.
That does not sound good. There is more rain on the way. Just make sure you can move to high ground in case it gets worse
Trust me, I'm from Florida. I grew up in that crap. As far as I'm voncconce I didn't move far enough north. Oh I'm from Northeast Ohio, I'm far from it. But my camper and hunting property is in the flood zone. Both are high enough not to be impacted by the water. However my route down is a bit moist.
We ended up with 11.2" for the storm that we had on Thursday and Friday. That brings our official total to 167.7" for the year. Here are a few pics that I snapped while out plowing.
