Pic is misleading regarding the terrain. I was in the prone position taking the picture. Fun climb.

Yes. Same 80crv2 if I am not mistaken. They nail the HT on all the ones I have tested plus Dan backs everything 100%.

Just when I start to think you've got one of the most impressive gun and knife collections around you pull out a gem like this and blow my mind further! And I use the term "collection" loosely because I know you and DJ Jr use all of your's.

Not mine. A friend had them custom made for his shop.

I've been itching to get my hand on one of Dan's knives for awhile now. Has anyone seen/held his "Native" pattern?

BladeGallery here in Washington seems to offer that design as an exclusive, and it is pretty appealing to me in terms of size/shape. I've been carrying my Carothers EDC every day for a long time, and this Native seems like it may be very similar in specs (aside from the distal taper and 80CrV2 vs D3V steel). The sheath seems pretty versatile for almost any carry position, too!

Haven’t laid hands on this but some of the upcoming designs will “blow your mind” to say the least.

Hmmm....I may have to wait a bit to see what he has in the works. I've been debating picking-up that "Native" but I may take a trip up to their B&M store to check it out first.

    Thanks for the heads-up DJ!

Got mine, I’m very impressed with the design and quality.
Excellent knife for almost any use, sized just right to carry well yet still be large enough for serious use.

Overall I like it, I don’t particularly like the clip plate, but that’s just due to personal preference, the leather belt loop is nice, still breaking it in though.
The retention is very good, it’s more friction than snap, so it’s not like normal kydex, the fit is more precise than any typical leather sheath though.
