Have not seen one in use, I’ll be curious to see how it works

Let’s not forget the guide-rod. Sometimes is can be tricky in the dark.

Just throw it in the dishwasher. While you’re home alone.

Well... IDK. I just throw my used patches in the trash when I'm done. Can't get easier than that.

I’m not sure if I have any other options for mounting it.

Federal Sierra MatchKing 168 or 175’s. I’m gonna try one box of each to see which groups better in my rifle then I’ll buy a case of whichever is better.

Awesome choice! That's what I've got for my 308 AR, 500 or more 175gr sierra GMM and one box or the sierra 168gr GMM.

I happened into the 500+ rounds before I had built the rifle so I went with a 20" Ballistic Advantage medium heavy with 1:10 twist. So far I've only done a function check, but hope to get it on paper next month while my son's down on spring break then put some pigs on the dirt with it.

That'l give you a very good baseline. I've had success with Gorilla ammunition with similar results as the GMM.

So from what I understand that round does some pretty serious damage to deer as well as being extremely accurate for a factory load. I found them fairly cheap compared to most so we’ll see what she likes next weekend.

I've been reading the same thing, anxious to see for myself. The 175gr is basically the same as the military M118LR that sniper units are issued.

    Damn right!!!!!
I've seen good reviews about those!

I've also been curious about the Hornady super performance SST, I think it's either the 150 or 165gr 308 at 3000fps with the SST bullet still expanding down to 1600fps.

Tempted to order a case of the 168 right now. I plan on shooting 168gr in my REPR whenever I can buy it so I’d like to have all the same ammo across both platforms.

Not sure if it is currently available in the US (it was and cheaper to buy there than here FFS)....

But this stuff is pretty good by all accounts....

    http://www.outbackammo.com.au/308-win-168gr-sierra-hpbt-matchking/

We shoot the 5.56 LOTS (100K per moth last year) and it is flawless. The 7.62 got great reviews in the US from what I read. If you reload the brass is significantly better regarded than Federal as well. No question however the Fed GMM is a good round.
